San Diego, CA - October 6, 2010 - Reaction Design is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in the Clean Technology category for TechAmerica San Diego’s 17th Annual High Tech Awards. TechAmerica, the leading voice for the U.S. technology industry, proudly recognizes the accomplishments of regional companies every year at its annual awards ceremony. Finalists will be honored for their outstanding achievements on October 22 at the Hyatt Aventine in La Jolla.
“We are delighted to be recognized as one of San Diego’s elite technology companies,” said Bernie Rosenthal, CEO of Reaction Design. “Reaction Design develops software for engineers who are building cleaner burning and more efficient combustion engines. Using our software to run virtual experiments instead of building costly prototypes, our customers who design transportation and power generation systems are getting better products to the market, faster. But more importantly, these products are already responsible for reducing pollutant emissions by an estimated 20 billion tons annually from their previous levels.”
This year, an abundant number of local San Diego companies submitted nominations for their technological or business innovation, exceptional products or services, product marketplace validation, perseverance in the face of adversity, and community involvement for consideration in 10 separate categories, including Internet/Web Commerce; Computers and Related Products; Communications Products and Services; Clean Technology; Defense/IT Service; Semiconductor, Industrial and Analytical Instrumentation; Medical Device Technology/Instrumentation; and Outstanding Emerging Growth. Reaction Design was selected as a finalist in the Clean Technology category for its unique technology that helps companies develop clean energy solutions that have an immediate impact on our world.
“TechAmerica is extremely excited to recognize those companies that have excelled in their fields and made outstanding contributions to drive the industry forward,” Kevin Carroll, regional vice president of TechAmerica San Diego, said. “As in the past, we will have a very difficult time selecting winners in each respective category due to the successes each company has experienced.”
