According to Bernie Rosenthal, Reaction Design's CEO, "Scott brings a great combination of deep technical understanding and real-world implementation experience to Reaction Design. Scott is a talented professional who will help guide our efforts to bring detailed chemistry modeling to developers seeking to build cleaner, more efficient systems." Before his tenure at EPRI, Drennan spent seven years with COEN, Inc., an industrial burner company focused on low-nitrous oxide (NOx) burner design for boilers, furnaces and cogeneration where he was manager of business development and senior research engineer in charge of the company's contract research business. Prior to COEN, Drennan conducted CFD analyses at Allison Gas Turbines. "I am excited to join the team at Reaction Design," said Drennan. "The unique mix of chemists, engineers, and software development professionals responsible for Reaction Design's world-leading clean technology tools position this company to change the ROI equation for complex chemistry in industries like automotive engine design, power generation and chemical manufacturing." Mr. Drennan graduated from the University of California, Irvine, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on low-NOx combustion and liquid fuel atomization for gas turbine combustors. About Reaction DesignReaction Design helps transportation manufacturers and energy companies rapidly achieve their Clean Technology goals by automating the analysis of chemical processes via simulation and modeling solutions. Reaction Design is the exclusive developer and distributor of CHEMKIN, the de facto standard for modeling gas-phase and surface chemistry that provides engineers ultra-fast access to reliable answers that save time and money in the development process. Reaction Design also offers the CHEMKIN-CFD software package, which brings detailed kinetics modeling to other engineering applications, such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) programs. Reaction Design's world-class engineers, chemists and programmers have expertise that spans multi-scale engineering from the molecule to the plant. Reaction Design serves more than 350 customers in the commercial, government and academic markets. Reaction Design can be found online at www.reactiondesign.com.
